Activities
The laboratory specializes in various formulations of drilling fluids, petroleum-based fluids, and other project-related formulations. Its activities include: fluid formulation using analytical and semi-analytical balances, a mixer with a capacity of up to 5 liters, ultrasonic baths, and a thermal stability analyzer; HPHT analysis using a filter press, rotary ovens, and a retort; and formulation analysis with FANN viscometers, a modular rheometer, gas pycnometers, a microscope, and pH meters.
Installations
The laboratory is divided into three key analysis areas: the mixing and weighing area, the HPHT analysis area, and the formulation analysis area. The space is also equipped with a safety shower, eye-wash station, fluid washing and storage area, as well as a sample house and a gas storage unit.
